    This sucks

    I like to get to the airport one hour before takeoff . . . tops. Got here 90 minutes early because had to leave a car here, so wanted to make sure in case shuttle was busy. We were the only ones on it.

    Then we get to the terminal and there are no lines, we just walk right up to the final screening. Just as I put my cell phone in the x-ray bin it rings. SWA is notifying me that my flight has been rescheduled for three hours later.

    There are not many things I hate more than sitting around, waiting. It is not helping that there are mothers screaming at their pre-teen kids and another group of girl scouts or something acting like they are on a camp out singing songs.

    If they start in with kumbaya I am going to go ballistic.

      Turns out they were cheerleaders, from KS, which naturally reminded me of a joke.

      Know why they started using AstroTurf for Kansas football?

      To keep the cheerleaders from grazing on the field.

                                                              Made it home about 2:30 AM after a 3.5 hour delay. As far as the bar issue is concerned, I was with goodgirl and she does not drink and the "bar" did not have power outlets.

                                                              On top of that, most everything at Midway closes at 9 PM and the beer selection sucks anyway. But as Raf1 said, at least I had my laptop with Internet.
