Its a huge holiday round the world practically. But none moreso that in Ireland. Scotland celebrate it pretty big too...but only by going out and getting drunk.

It's bigger in the US. They think we're nuts for pouring green dye into our city rivers and such. Every Irish person I met in Dublin on St. Patty's said they want to come to the US for it one year.
That said..you can't beat drinking in Ireland no matter what day it is.
They don't even open many restaurants on the dry days (good Fri, etc) because they can't serve.The 2 rules for success:
