Funny you mention, I dropped the Noctilux the first day I got it - slipped off my lap when I opened the car door. Landed filter-first on the asphalt, had to send it in to Leica to get it repaired. Just got it back yesterday again, took 3 months.
I could not get the filter off, it was jammed in the filter thread. Since the lenses are so rare, it took so long to get it repaired. Fortunately Leica's 3yr Passport warranty covers accidental damage to their lenses.Last edited by Guest; 07-03-2010, 10:22 AM.Comment

Let's just say that a $1k camera will not
- give you a full frame sensor
- have a solid build
- give you fast / sharp lenses
- have as good of a high ISO performance
Those are the main points. Good photographs are mainly credited to the ability of the photographer and not the gear though.Comment
