Very much like a Dark Ages situation, but more accurately is that we have stagnated in our forward growth. I don't mean so far as technology goes, we have that out the yang, but if you look at a lot of it, its filler.
Much of it serves no purpose other than to use up (waste) free time. People talk about how it makes the more efficient, but 99% of the population is using it as a time killer. How many people do you know with a Blackberry/iPhone/smartphone who doesn't *really* use it for business?
Mention one world government and the tinfoil hat wearing people crawl out of the woodwork shouting about how bad it is.
