Investors: What kind or ROI do you expect on Internet Project Investments?

So say you were to invest in an internet project, let's say 10 000$

how much would you expect to be paid back in a year? in 2 years?

also, are you willing to let your money go for more than a year?

do you expect payments every month? at the end of each year? at the end of the term?

I know it's different for every deal and every person, I'm just curious to see what the general feel about investing is

    thanks!

Honestly it depends on the project.

If it's in the small 1-5k, I expect that money back, or a share of it, in roughly 90 days from launch. Which has always worked out for my company many times over.

However, I do not just invest in blind whims.

That said, I would say if it's a bigger ticket to the tune of $10k, I may say 6-12. months. But I would expect a decent percentage on that investment. Both in the long run, and monthly.

It's different for every project... there are short, medium and long term projects...

My friend had a project going for 4 years and he only started seeing profits 6 months ago... his biz brings in 30 to 50k a month in revenue right now to give you an idea. He could probably let the site go as it is with the employes in place and it would still be good in a couple years from now. That's a long term project.

Funny how people here talk about investing, when in reality they're referring to ushering.

depends on the project, most i invest my time which is a lot more valueable. if its something that requires no work i dont expect to make nearly as much.

Depends on how much time is invested.

always nice when people dont read the orginal post but just spew their mindless shit ;)

it depends on the project in my opinion... there is a big difference between the expected ROI on paysite vs a community kind of site etc..

Depends more on my estimate of the chance of success with it than anything else. With a greater chance of success I'd accept a lower return.

I'm perfectly happy to make 15%/year in the market. Why wouldn't I be happy to make only, say, 30% in adult with a high chance of success?
