Nope I fuck'n hate the thing. If I wanted to have to figure out the special codes for produce I'd fuck'n work at a grocery store.

They put those in at the Wal Mart by me, and after you check out, a employee comes over and looks through your shit and compares it to the receipt to make sure you paid for everything. Waste of my time and their manpower.

I use them at the local grocery store when I just have a few items. A lot faster than waiting in line. They should give a little discount or something for using it.

i hate those fucking things. the ones at home depot are a pain in the ass. i think it ironic that i am checking out with a hammer and some nails, and a few other tree house building items and the damn thing wont scan the hammer and i am already a pissy angry person in the morning. hmmmmmmn hammer + anger + morning = smashed checkout machine. hahahaha.

I use the self checkout all the time. What chaps my ass is the people with a full cart of fruits and veggies, and they send like an hour trying to figure out the codes. These dumbfucks are too fucking stupid to realize that self checkout works best when you have maybe a dozen items... after that you are slower than the "pros".

Those people to me are like the car going 45 MPH in the left lane with it's blinker on full time. Fucking idiots.

Self checkout sucks, as much as talking to a damn machine on the phone, self checkin at airports and all this stuff.

It doesn't make things easier, it doesn't take less time, it's just annoying !

I read on article on them in the WSJ awhile ago. One of the biggest things they do is stop employee theft.I guess its a big problem.

The airport one aggravates me. It takes longer because you have to wait for someone to come over and get your luggage.
