very very nice.........Modeling at a car show is harder than it looks, because you have less than optimum lighting, and often ten people or more photographing you simultaneously with a flash, the girls do the best they can - plus many of the girls are amateurs.
They look much better when you photograph them one-on-one with pro MUAs (Make-Up Artists), and better lighting, etc.
Another issue is that I airbrush the photos to compensate for so many flashes going off at once, and to reduce the effect of my on camera flash.

Most of the girls are local or from LA. If you check the Hot Import Nights web site, they list the models that are traveling with the show, as well as the schedule.

Much better show than the Fall one in San Franciso...
I heard from Carlos that Francine was going to be there (he kept checking the time whenever I passed the booth, LOL).
I didn't have a booth this time so I just cruised around, set up some future projects, and then bailed since I had a photo shoot at a club early the next morning. I'll have a booth at the summer HIN Night Shift event in Alameda.
Are you going to Masuimi's birthday event this weekend? If so, I may see you there...

When I learned the girls in that photo were twins I was stunned. Since one was wearing heels and the other flat shoes, and their hair color was so different, I totally didn't believe it, and then they showed me their ID's.

Compared to your lifestyle, 99% of life is boring, LOL.
I agree that some of the raw energy seems to have dissipated from the scene/shows over the years. I attribute that to it becoming more corporate, and also to everyone getting more jaded - it becomes harder and harder to top the previous shows. Oh yeah, and no general sales booze this time (I only discovered the backstage bar about a half hour before I left).
There is actually a lot more going on these days...more stages, big fashion shows, more DJ's etc., but it's rare to see any of the girls flashing their boobs during the bikini contests or other such events anymore.
Most people are in it for the business now, myself included...I still manage to find some new wannabe models at nearly every show, so as long as that continues, it's worth it for me to keep attending.
