I'm currently reading a 700 page book called "The rise and fall of Hilter". I'm half way through, where Germany's troops strolled into Austria and took control of the country without firing a shot. Sorry, you can't compare the two.
The part of the book I'm at right now is two weeks into Austria where all of the Jews have been removed from their businesses and jobs, and over 180k of the Jews have fled the country. The rest are now employed scrubbing sidewalks. Keep in mind this is four years into Hilter's rise to power and still years before the bullets starting flying.
