                                                                      I think the costume, being an alien symbiote went nuts when spiderman abandoned it, and bonded with the guy who is venom now. This from my distant memory. Could be distorted by time.

                                                                                          i just wanted to point out that the origins of venom tend to change with every incarnatiopn of spiderman, for example in the new spiderman unlimited i believe the venom symbiote was infact something that parkers and osbourne's farthers created
