what most annoying me , is that there is no one to speak with , no one let us know what is wrong , and the current status.
2 days ago i was having a chat with david , the man behind hahahahahaha :
i asked how they backup my server , incase anithing go's wrong , and he told me that they have a payed service , that will save my data in other server for 1gb=2$ ,
i was amazed that my hhd cant be recovered fast cause they dont backup it , unless i order that service.
isnt it a must have? why my HDD isnt in a mirror method? what if one of them tech guy somehow delete my data? how do they will recover the HDD?

All ours servers are finally back - don't forget to restart apache though.

With all due respect, there's no need to be a whore in this situation. Regardless of whether or not you have respect for the host, have some for their clients and show some class and wish them good luck.
I certainly hope service is restored soon, situations like this affect many livelihoods.

My server with c h o o p a was restored yesterday morning but its now down today. What the fell happened to this company. I use them for almost 5 years and they were very reliable. But with this server migration they have turned into a nightmare. Does anyone know what is going on with them? Has there been a change in ownership or management?Comment

BTW, most uptime guarantees are not worth the bytes they occupy on your HD. For example, theplanet will only credit you to a maximum of 100% of a single month's fee. If a host does offer something close to "lost revenue" compensation then you're probably paying 10% extra each month to cover it.

Well... they are moving their entire operation to another datacenter, 200 racks to move to a new datacenter. not exactly somthing that can be done all at the same time, poor network layout, and move thats all.Comment

Even 12 hours is far too much... If I was told by my host that there would be 12 hours downtime i'd transfer somewhere else immediately to avoid any.

The decision to move wasn't made by their customers, and the customers shouldn't have to suffer for it.
I don't care how many racks or how complicated it is. You do a move like this a bit at a time and keep your customers online at the old datacenter until they're 100% set up at the new datacenter.
Making your customers suffer and not giving them any options because you got a better deal at a new datacenter, or because you got kicked out of the old datacenter, is unacceptable.sig too bigComment
