4G isn't a hell of a lot to run PHP and MySQL in anymore.
If you expect to do more than, say, a hundred (checkout) transactions a day, I'd strongly suggest at least a lower end dedicated machine. Each trakc code is a DB hit, and V4 is greedy, too. At least surfer_stats is dead.
What in the world was their reason why it wouldn't?
"This server MUST be a dedicated server. We will install NATS in the default home directory for the given ssh user unless otherwise specified. We will not install NATS into a fully web accessible directory under any circumstances, as only a portion of NATS is supposed to be web accessible - this is for your protection."\
... and database usage.

Interesting. From seeing the installations of several sponsors running NATS 4, it's a database pig. If your site is small enough to even consider virtual dedicated server, with the prices of dedicated servers being so ridiculously low, I'd be amazed if the traffic would break it, though.
You might soon run into scalability problems if you experience unexpected growth.
I think it would be very, very unwise to install NATS on a virtual simply due to security and processor allocation concerns/issues that WILL arise being on a virtual. Dedicated boxes are cheap these days, so I would recommend you use one for a NATS install. Contact Gerrard/Mike at Webair or Brad at Mojohost as they'll most likely be able to provide you with dedicated box solution for your budget.

I am not looking for a new host, but thank you anyways.
The VPS I currently have can be easily scaled to 8192MB RAM if needed, so yeah I think while the site is in it's infancy, I will go ahead with the VPS install, and when my daily traffic is such that it is stressing the system, then I will worry about a decently appointed dedicated box that I can grow with for a while longer.
Once again I thank you all for your input.

Just make sure you don't end up penny wise and pound foolish. Some dedicated servers are VERY cost effective.
