It's pointless to debate with wingnuts, just like it's pointless to debate with religious fundamentalists.
Debate requires a mind open enough to consider opposing points of view, and the ability to assess new information.
It also requires an essential ability for honesty - and that is something a wingnut cannot supply, because they are arguing from the brain stem, not the cortex.
Their goal is to threaten and intimidate, like a lizard trying to push a competitor out of it's territory. They don't have the capacity to truly discuss, and are faking any appearance of doing so.
