There is nothing any doctor can do to fix it. There is nothing I can do to fix it. I'm bipolar. It comes with the territory, it's for life, and there's no cure. So if you have a better suggestion, I'm all ears.

Doctors are not there to fix it. Always remember that psychologists make money off the perception that certain people have a greater problem than others.
how many rapists or child molesters ever get fixed? NADA. when something is ingrained in your brain it is. it is up to you to fix it.
i dated a girl who was "bi polar". basically SHE changed her life after having a child and she thought that the drugs helped her. meanwhile before hand she was high on coke etc etc. it had nothing to do with doctors SHE MADE THE CHOICE to change.
if drinking, coke, hell video games makes you a different person you are not bi polar. you are just not meant for that certain thing. some people are better dealing with their own mental issues (which everyone has) than others. because you are genetically pre disposed to certain issues more than others.
now she is off the meds, happily married with a new kid, and i cant be more happy for her (i was friends with her for years).
