    AOL sells Bebo

    They bought it for $850 million two years ago and sold it for a rumored $10 million.

                      Not surprising at all really... AOL has NEVER been in the game EVER. They just THOUGHT they were back when they were selling proxied Internet service to uninformed dialup users... That was doomed to fail from the beginning...

                      Here's a hint and it applies to everyone in the adult space too... If your business model relies on users being uninformed about what's out there... it's going to tank sooner or later. The general public is pretty stupid but most of them aren't blind; especially when it comes to watching their wallets...
