I don't pretend to know all the details of ICANN rules regarding domain information, but looking at the record for microsoft.com might give you an idea of what they're looking for. For name you can use the site; for contact information you can use a role - i.e. "Administrator."

I think the idea is that people can contact you if they need to. They need *accurate* information, not necessarily personally identifying info. They appear to require a voice phone number, but a toss-away cell phone with pre-paid minutes will work for that. For your address get a postal box.

My pre-paid phone is $100 a year through T-Mobile, and the post office box is about $40. Say private reg is $10 per domain. After the 15th domain you're saving money, and there's less chance of your info getting exposed, like it was for me when I had some domains with Moniker.
