We get listed pretty regular with The hun main page, sales vary, cannot say what sales are a direct result from there but our sales do increase anywhere from 1 - 3. We have had 5 listings so far this month - one is running right now and we had good overnight sign-Up's, but whether it was directly from the hun I cannot say for sure.Comment

I got listed in #2 a couple a months ago with a brand new site, only made me 3x$35.
I was actually bumped down a couple of spots during the day, one of the galleries was from you Sleazydream so maybe you could tell us how many sales you were making?

Depends on if its a paid spot or not and how the sponsor tours grab me. I have always said this and it has caused some grief with some. Designers design because that is what they do. They have to please the sponsor and the webmaster, but if they really knew about sales, they would be designing for themselves. You take anything I build it looks amatuerish and its simple. But I make sales. Because my sales material stands out. I learned one thing direct from The Hun many years ago. He was asked "what makes your site so popular" His answer was " My pages are simple the surfer comes in and gets what they want". If you buy spots on The Hun it isn't for sales, you will loose most of the time. You buy spots on The Hun for branding and in the past se ranking. At least in the days I was doing The Hun. The branding part seems to be lost over time. Now everyone uses sponsor content. Where when I was pushing The Hun it was for branding of a site with my own bought images.
Here is a good example, lets say you have a site co branded with a sponsor. Instead of using there images, you use your own, you water mark them with your branded site. You make your own banners to your co branded site. A listing on The Hun will jump start your traffic. His rules may have changed a bit and it might be a little harder to do, but money talks and bullshit walks.
This is another example of this is the way it is done today, and how it was done yesterday. The old masters are pretty much gone and with them, the tricks of the trade. Now its sponsor watermarks, that don't get you as much as it could. The art of site branding has pretty much been lost, because webmasters today think of one thing, sales. Where building a site that you can drive traffic to and build up your own little empire has been lost.May all your hits be clicks and all your clicks be $$$Comment

Hun traffic and sales died out around 2007
Before that, 2000-2006, TheHun was the shit, thats for sure.
Made a lot of money thanks to TheHun. But these days I would not waste my time with that site.Comment

4 sales a day at $30 each is $120 average over time is 3 time renewing so $360
$360 x 365 days a year is $131,400
I'm a small time webmaster, I'll waste my time for that kind of money - even if it is gross and not net. The Hun is just one place to get traffic from many.....

Positive thoughts, but you must remember, you can only submit every 3days to thehun & the traffic from thehun would kill most bandwidths if you added a gallery once a day.
I only submit once a week maybe a fortnight. However, your positiveness has give myself encouragement to submit at least, as often as possible.

You are right
Each gallery uses 50gb, so if you were to have a gallery every 3days as thehun listing allows, this would only be a maximum of 10 galleries a month. 500gb... Yes, bandwidth wouldnt be the issue.
We do only show the latest previews on each of our sites now as we were using a lot more with every gallery. So for those people that have never used thehun, they should still be very careful with the amount of content shown on their sites.

When submitting Janessa's galleries over the past few months I have seen 3min to 14max sales per listing, not all have been on thehun main page some on thehun.com/overflow.. It seem more amateur looking content converts better on there for me.

Its hard to get listed on there for free.....We submitted about 40 galleries and he listed 1 on the overflow. Got 7 sells on the first day and 2 on the second so i'm not complaining = ).Comment
