SEO the non-industry. Code to standards and submit to engines or try the blackbox SEO and suffer Google's wrath.
This is pretty much it ... unless you have thousands of sites at your disposal that can give good links to your clients, there really aren't SEO "masters".
I will not speak ill of anyone on these boards, but most SEO "masters" don't really know much besides coding to standard and spamming your links to SE submit pages.
Maybe paying some poor 3rd world guys to spam your link in forums.
"oh, I'll add keywords and update your meta tags and soon you'll be #1 on Google for 'sex'!".
Also, don't mess with the blackhat SEO guys. Results will be good, maybe even great, for a while, then you'll quietly disappear from Google.
Lolz, same. I hire and pay myself well thanks. No clients, no phone calls, no mithering emails, no complaints, no endless explanations required, no payment hassles.

But good luck OP!
This is the way to go for sure
To the OP I can say that I can probably help you to make up a plan for what you want accomplished, I'm not gonna be building 100's of feeder sites and make 1000's of link trades for you though
