I for one don't use feeds with hardcore content.. That's what has led to most of the problems in this industry..
Whatever happened to teasing the surfer to make them want to pay to see more? Now it's all laid out for anyone to see... on such a large scale that it's no wonder the signup ratios have gone wacko..Comment

I'm not taking a poke at TCG's feeds, in fact it's good to see someone else making an effort to handle them properly. But as a general observation, I'm fast coming to the conclusion RSS feeds are more trouble than they are worth.
Which is a damn shame, considering their potential. But there is hardly a day goes by when at least one feed which usually works, doesn't. Sometimes all that happens is the feed isn't read in at all and that is fine. But more often than not, my site(s) get(s) broken.
If sponsors cannot be relied upon to check that every addition is valid, the only real answer is to queue the feeds and check them before allowing new content to be posted. But that can involve some serious time if you are using multiple feeds across several sites and defeats at least part of the advantage of this form of content delivery.Comment

which is why I can't stress enough to get some professional rss software like rsstoblog or autoblogger pro, if you are serious about blogging and rss, then you need something more than feedwordpress or wp-autoblog, and once you have something professional, then you just don't have to worry about shit like you mentioned aboveComment

I don't think I ever really judged it by that....I saw an increase of abilities
feedwordpress was just a tool, I had to install it on every blog and it posted out everything from the feed
now I have one control panel, I set up "projects" that now house all my feeds for each niche...when I start a new blog I just enter the info into rsstoblog and it starts posting on the next update...i can also buy 300 blog posts and throw them into rsstoblog also, and it will cycle through all those original blog posts I entered in and email me when it is done with them....etc etc etcComment

To some extent I was just stirring the pot. I am aware (and use some) of the various solutions. However I was doing mainstream blogs for about 2 years before I started doing adult blogs and in mainstream, the popular tools were always perfectly adequate. The fact also remains that FeedWordpress is by far the most popular aggregator, therefore in their own interests, sponsors should ensure that their feeds play nicely with it.Comment

Cool feeds, with great options, thats how it should be
But when you rely on someone else to do something for you you might be screwed when they make a typo by mistake or suddenly change the lay-out for the feed. imho rss feeds are really great but there's to much involved to rely on others when you are serious about your biz.

After receiving feedback from our webmasters and consulting with Jace we have increased the amount of updates per day. We are currently running 3 ? 6 updates per day across our network of sites, 7 days a week.

We added in a Date variable to prevent duplicate posts that will occur if you are changing your feed URL (&dt=dd/mm/yyyy). The date generates posts with your new linking method AFTER the date you provide. Great tip is to find the last TCG update date and just append that to the end of your linking code.
