Couture is still a ways away from meetin CroCop in the cage. Mirko is already scheduled to fight Gabriel Gonzaga on UFC 70 in Manchester. While I would like to see Cro Cop get a shot at the title after that, and step up to Randy Couture, I have a sneakin feeling that he will fight Arlovski before that. If he does fight Arlovski after Gonzaga, there is not reason whatsoever in my mind why he shouldn't get a shot at Randy and the belt after that. That is, if he doesn't get a shot by his third fight.
Back to Couture vs Silvia. I was SOOOOOO fucking glad I got to see that dummy get worked like he should have been. I hate watching Silvia fight. He is nothing but mass, and all he ever does is use his size and weight as a force to contain the fight. I'm sorry, I don't give a shit how much he goe son about how he tries to finish his fights, he doesn't. If his fight against Couture would have went his way, he would have just tied him up and laid on him on the ground or pushed him up against the cage the whole fight. I just got back from Columbus, OH after watching the fight in person. It was the first time I went to a UFC event. IT WAS AMAZING!! Watching Randy own Tim like that was spectacular.
On a side note: Before hitting the road we stopped for breakfast at a local Bob Evans. Who else is eating there but none other than Chris "Lights Out" Lytle. He got 6 stitches from his fight with Matt Hughes. We told him we were big fans of his and he actually APOLOGIZED for not winning. We told them there was nothing to apologize for and that he did a great job. A real classy guy.Comment
