It's very clear what Israel is doing here. They are trying push them out. And they are, very slowly. It's really rather cleaver really. A missile hits Israel, and they put a blockade around the entire area, starving them, and denying them basic comfort creatures like sneakers and what not - making them miserable. Their intention is to get them all to leave the Gaza strip.
