LAPD officials say Stephen Clancy Hill, 34, ran out of a house in the 8000 block of Azul Drive where he barricaded himself since 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, stood on a cliff, and threatened suicide.
Hill was clutching a sword as police tried to talk him down, said Officer April Harding of the LAPD. Officials don't know whether or not it was the same sword used to kill a porn actor earlier this week.
Officers hit the suspect with a non-lethal round, possibly a taser, finally knocking him off the embankment around 5:30 p.m. Police Officer Bruce Borihanh. He was taken into custody, though his condition is unknown.
