Whether we like it or not...an affiliate program is designed to make money for the owner. When it becomes a liability and you are making less than your affiliates, then you close it down.

The Quickbuck sites were generic porn websites. That stuff is everywhere on the tubes and torrents for free. So new "real" sales were pretty much impossible to make for it. Then the squeeze starts on the x-sell model and the smartest thing that they could do is exactly what they did: Shut down the affiliate program and make money.

Sucks for us affiliates. My account is "terminated" too. But since I haven't made any sales with them in the last couple of years since torrents and tubes blew up...I had nothing to lose anyway.
partially right

not being able to pay revshare part i don't agree with you

that's the easiest thing ever to do (ie look at all the ccbill revshare sponsors)

I think you hit the nail on the head tho about not being able to convert & retain with old sites and generic content though.

IMO it could be done but it's just not as lucrative as it once was. so not worth the time or hassle of dealing with afiliates and the costs that come with that, plus having to start shooting some new content and new niches, etc etc

I'm sure Hooper has made his porn fortune by now anyways.
