I love Randy Couture and I would never bet against him, but it's hard to envision him beating Tim Sylvia. Because people hate Sylvia so much he is incredibly underrated and Randy is going to have a tough time getting in on him. Remember his previous go round as a heavyweight the larger heavyweights like Josh Barnett and Ricco Rodriguez were the guys he had an extremely tough time with. I would never say never when it comes to Randy Couture, but I have a feeling he is going to be eating Sylvia's jab all night.Comment

Yes I kind of agree with you, I am just hoping Couture wins more or less even though I really don't care for either of them. I don't think he is underrated because he is hated but because he never tries to finish any of his fights. He never tries to make a statement. He is pretty content staying the champion. Not that I would'nt be. And why the hell is he always sucking his gut in. He's like 30ft tall, does he want perfect abs?Comment

I'd love nothing more then for Couture to win, but I don't know. The whole reason he dropped down was because the big heavyweights gave him problems, now he wants to take on one of the biggest ever?
Randy says he had a lot of personal problems going on when he retired(divorce, etc..) and that he's back in shape and better then ever. I've seen other fighters mention that he's still just as good as he ever was even at 43.
KO from Tim or a decision for Randy is about the only way I can see this fight going. Guess we'll have to wait until saturday night and see.264-543-302Comment

Look at who has given Randy problems in the past. Riccio and Barnett, both very big men. At least Josh Barnett was back then.
Tim was able to hold off Jeff Monson, an ADCC Champ, and noted grappler.
I dont' think Randy can pull this one off.

I would love to see Couture take out Sylvia .....but i do not think thats gonna happen.
I really want to see how Hughes and Franklin bring it after their previous losses. Would love to see those 2 come out angry and ready for some vengeance....gonna be a great night !

Well Sylvia is gonna land a lot of stiff jabs and Couture is going to try and take him down but I think most of his shots will be stuffed because of Sylvia's reach. Most likely Sylvia will pull out a decision and Couture's face will be hamburger. That said I am still going for Couture. I don't think Sylvia is that good of a fighter. There just hasn't been any competition in the heavyweight division.Comment

4 years of wrestling, 2 years competitive MMA and nothing to show for it! I had a large swelling once last year and I squeezed it till it popped before it hardened. So still nothing to show for it.
And I am gonna definitely be pulling for Randy. I just can't bet against him. As for Franklin / Mcdonald, I'd love to see the Athlete pull the upset but Rich is gonna be hungry as hell. I really don't think he was at his best during the Silva fight so he's gonna come on strong.

Sylvia isn't under rated... he's was the best in the UFC... it's the UFC heavyweight division overall that was very weak.
Watch with the pride guys comming in how things are gonna change.

Actually he is underrated...he gets next to no respect even though he is the UFC champ. I'm in agreement that Crocop is going to kick his head into the cheap seats but that doesn't change the fact the Sylvia is an excellent fighter who no one thinks has any skills. Can't wait to see Rich Franklin back in form. I think a lot of the people jumped all over him because he lost in somewhat dramatic fashion, but I think anderson silva got lucky those few early knees to the ribs that basically put rich out of the fight. I predict Franklin will get his belt back, hopefully the fight won't be stopped until Rich can smash up anderson's mug for revenge.Comment
