My kids go to private school and were all dismissed 2 hours early today. No tornadoes here...yet. Supposed to get 70+ mph winds between 3 and 6pm though.

We have a tornado alert until 9 tonight. Being in the mountains they rarely get up enough "land speed" to hit, but there was one a town south from here a few years ago.
Tornados are probably the only weather thing I'm afraid of - was in one in college and saw what they can do. I will never own a home here w/o a basement.Comment

Yeah, I'm used to tornados, less the 4 months ago Montgomery got hit bad. Tore the roofs off tons of shit and destroyed a funzone skating rink and part of my college. Comes with the terriroty I guess. Stay safe guys!Comment
