Funny picture - although most people miss the actual meaning...
The SJC in the sticker stands for the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. They had ruled in favor of same sex marriage.
The woman in the photo was a pro same sex marriage protester - the sign was meant as sarcasm.
After many amazing contributions to science and technology, and the development of many important theories and inventions, it was learned in 1952 that Alan Turing was in a homosexual relationship (which at the time was "illegal" in the UK). Turing was imprisoned and persecuted - forced to take hormonal treatment designed to "cure" him from being gay, and stripped of his security clearances.
Alan Touring died from Cyanide poisoning while eating an apple two years later. His death was ruled a suicide, although others have suggested he was assassinated since he was considered a security risk for being gay.

..and the bite out of the apple in the apple logo is a tribute to him for that very reason. :P

LOL! I've heard that story...(I'm a Mac geek of sorts). I used to be a beta-tester on many Apple products (most noteworthy iWorld, if anyone remembers that).
Clever, but an urban folk tale nonetheless (even though that reference/theory even made it into a movie, and has been oft repeated).
The bite of the apple in the Apple logo simply represents taking a bite out of the fruit of the tree of knowledge.
BTW, the original Apple logo featured Sir Isaac Netwon sitting beneath an Apple tree, not the familiar icon that is now universally recognized.
isn't that, that Sheehan broad. always protesting on something. what a loon she is.
No, that's not Cindy Sheehan. BTW, how many kids did you lose in Iraq?
Obama and McCain were both right - the lives of our service people in Iraq are currently being wasted.
They can correct themselves and say "sacrificed" all they want, as the Bush adminstration tries to spin it, but the troops are being used as cannon/IED fodder and political puppets now at this stage by Bush and his military-industrial cronies raking in massive tax dollars and war profits at the expense of our troops.
