                  The first day of spring is March 21st in the U.S.

                  I'm not sure about other parts of the world. Maybe they are so cold where they are that they just wish today was the first day of spring.

                      Actually its only celebrated the 21st although some calender manufacturers have corrected there printings to fix the error - its actually on the 20th until the year 2102 except in Europe where it will be the 21st. In 2008 some time zones in the US will actually have the vernal equinox on the 19th and then later in 2016 the whole US will be on the 19th
