Your calling them "aid workers" and I'm calling them criminals who intentionally violated a blockade, opposed the Israeli Navy, and then attacked them as they boarded the ship. They violated international law - the law of the sea (which is a treaty as gay as it sounds) and refused to stop when ordered to do so. I'm not sure what your parents taught you when you were a kid, but your captain of a ship and a warship orders you to stop, you fucking stop. If not, you get shot at.

International law is not stop when I tell you to stop, it is if you are in someone elses waters and you defy them then they can stop you - not kill you.
Yes they could have boarded the ship, arrested everyone on board with non-lethal force.
