I need two new banners to show me what you can do.

On this page there are two banners I want changed.
They will be text only, must be noticed and must look like part of the site.
Top one is "View members area for free. The other one is the one below it.
I want two new banners to fit the site look as if they should be there and be text only, they could be on the same background.
Text on the top one will be.

What about the people who's work you don't use? They should be compensated as well. It's only fair that you cover the cost of your "test" too.Comment

It's a 20 minute job. If the guy has any talent and he posts the samples here lots of people get to see what he can do. If the guy does not have any talent then why should I pay for it?
It's a test to see if the designer can follow simple instructions, has a enough talent to follow a simple task and make it work with the confines of my site and stops me having to sit on ICQ all night looking at sites I have no idea how they arrived at the designs.
A lot of "Designers" are layout artist who can use Photoshop. They follow out the instructions of the client, he has the design talent.
Hitting me up on ICQ or giving me a link here without the samples shows me you do not want to work the way I need. And shows everyone else the same.
Of course any designer who thinks otherwise is welcome to not apply for the job.
This is not a tough task for any competent designer.Comment

It's competing and losing to the girls on the top, it looks like it's been added on, it's not "rolling" the text a line at a time, it's another type style and very different from what is there already. It's a JPG and not a GIF. Nothing wrong with it, just does not fit the site or the job specs.and here is how it does not have to look like ...

On the job the other guy did all I need to do is change the font and color to the one in the banners above and I think we are rocking, need to get all the text into the banner rolling right. I might not have the right term with the rolling word but sure people will understand me.

I think the best would be you choice a portfolio you like and go with them.
A 20min test wont tell you nothing... anybody can do that.Comment

On the contrary, it allows the client to see who is serious about getting there business and motivated to get work. Anybody can show work they have done in the past but not everybody will drop what they are doing to design a couple of banners not knowing if they will even get paid for them.Comment

I wanted a designer who was doing the work as I speak to him. So many companies out source this work today and that does not work.
I'm in the EU, I deal with a guy in the US who has a designer in the Philippines.
I don't like a bit of the work, it needs changing on all the galleries. By the time I get to the guy who get to the designer who does it wrong because .................
