Has anyone here taken their dog to the Bahamas?

Looks like I'm going to have to go to the Abacos in the Bahamas to work for a month and I was told I could bring my Golden Retriever. He absolutely loves the beach so being there isn't the problem. I was wondering what the Bahamas requires as far as shots, quarantine and so on.

not sure on the bahamas specifically but you will need to get your dog all it's shots, rabies included, about 10 days before you leave, then you will need to take proof of this to your closest USDA office and they will pop on some gov cronie stamp and you'll be good on the USA end for getting him boarded in the airport. check the airlines too AA is usually by far the cheapest for flying pets when i have done it.
Reliable web host that actually cares, tell em geedub sent ya. Vacares

Bahamas sounds like fun. You will have to talk to the right knowledgeable people in Bahama who will answer your questions about Bahama travel. You can try to find some Bahama travel information on Google or contact the authorities you want by phone. Good luck.

I'll be flying in a little six seater so it's more about weight than money. He's 100 lbs so that's almost one person

I'm wondering what the Bahamas require for him to leave and the US to let him back in. Last thing I want is for my dog to be stuck in some quarantine shelter for two weeks.
