I replaced it with a
Kodak Zi8 which I'm pretty happy with. I have a half/dozen different video cameras - some expensive...some not so expensive. This is a cool lil' camera to have around. For the money, I think it does an exceptional job.
Otherwise, I'd suggest dropping by an electronics store and seeing what's available within your price range
