Full time would be 4 years or so, but I was doing this part-time much longer. My best advice, think outside the box. Don't just go around submitting galleries or opening yet another tgp/mgp, be innovative and come up with something truly creative.

My best advice would be to stay off the boards and do not network. The consequence of being constantly exposed to other peoples' ideas and practises is too often that you end up working just like everyone else. Even if you do what you do well, you will find yourself competing head-on with others who do their job well and may have the advantage of experience and of already being established.
Instead of worrying about what your competitors are doing, focus on the people to whom you are trying to sell. Think about what is not out there, rather than about what is. The most successful porn sites fail to sell to the vast majority of their visitors. Reasonably you have more chance to find a way of selling to that vast number to whom existing sites do not appeal, than by fighting over the relatively small number who are already being served.Comment
