Arizona is actually one of the most blue states there are.
You can buy a brand new 2000 SF house for $125K.
You can get state insurance making up to close to $2k a month.
Food stamps can be had as well.
Meanwhile in my state, Maryland, which is labeled a blue state ... the average house is about $250k and you cannot get health insurance or food stamps if you make more than about $400/mo.
What Arizona needs to do is kick its white people off welfare and stop blaming everyone else.Comment

Different country but a good example.. In southern Spain unemployment for the under 25's is about 40% yet when it's the olive harvest they have to bring in immigrants to pick the olives because the lazy teenage Spanish wont do it.

I agree the world is diverse, but if someone wants citizenship in a new country is it too much to ask for them to learn the language of the new country? The country is a melting pot and immigrants should learn the language. Not the other way around. My great grandmother had to learn English in her 20's and she wasn't from another country, she was a native American. Having a bunch of people in the country that can't read the laws or the road sign makes no sense. If they can't read the birth certificate of their anchor baby, that's pretty fucked up. Lets put it another way, should every teacher in the US know 5 languages? Right now over 1/3 of Texas speaks Spanish in their home, not a problem, but why should every public servant learn Spanish?

The number was left out in the news release, because it compares what Bush did to what Obama is doing, Obama is sending about a fifth of what Bush sent and I have yet to see a news report to state where they are going, it says they are going to the border, not to the Arizona border.
