I actually have that for my cats.... it works great... for a month or so.
But then the cat's fur begins to clog the pump.

Yes, I try to keep it clean, but it's just impossible. The cat's fur kills the thing after a little while and it dies, with no hope for return.

So what he is saying is that you just wasted the equal amount of money it would have taken to keep your trailer going for 3 weeks including but not limited to: 2 gallons of gas for your generator, stuffing yourself with Ramen Noodles, Kool-Aid and generic Hot Dogs, and $0.25 for a half a roll of toilet paper. Water is free down by the crick.

Distilled is for sure the way to go. I buy 200 gallons of that a month just for aquarium water. We've got filters for drinking and bathing water.
