    Fris, get in here...want your WP opinion

    Hey dude - wanted to see if you've by any chance seen/gotten/used the Socrates Theme: http://www.socratestheme.com/. Looked interesting and fairly customizable. I don't particularly like the thought of paying that much for a theme that doesn't appear to be exclusive at all, but wanted to see what you had to say about it if anything. Anyone else is welcome to chime in too.

    And yes, I realize it's Joel Comm, an IM "guru" which like the rest of them overcharges for products etc. Still, I thought it didn't look too shabby and for niche info sites which is largely what I intend to put up, seems like it has some interesting stuff that might help monetization.

      doesnt really look that special, I tend to stay away from buying themes from those marketing type pages.

      What exactly are you looking for in a theme? Maybe I can recommend something

          Customizable and w/ header image (customization of the header image isn't necessary as I usually just find where it is and replace the image w/ my own). I primarily use Atahualpa for its customization, but it feels like it takes an eternity to customize.

          Like I said though, moving forward my primary focus in WP will be niche info sites, so anything that would be particularly good for that.

              Try the THESIS theme. Very easy to customize. Very SEO friendly.

                          nothing special there.. and all themes (premium and/or paid) are free anyways, nowadays...
