Variety in drinks is important... You don't want to bring a chick back to your place only to have her refuse to drink whatever bottle of whiskey you have hanging around. I liked to keep a can or bottle of every type of popular mix on hand, at least one flavored vodka in addition to normal, also stuff like peach schnapps and sourpuss apple to make "a fun shot I heard about", stuff like that
