now go to google and search for part of the download links, i mean if you see link like rapidshare.com/files/72635215/filename5645.zip , try search google for 72635215 or filename5645, now you see where everywhere is content shared. if you check all the places, you can track the original poster and just control his reposts. have luck with your fight everyone

I randomly pulled a link from my DMCA Excel file (I keep track of all the DMCA's I've sent and which links have been taken down and which ones are still up) and was able to track down the original uploader from a message board.

Can you believe it??? And nobody in adult webmaster forums, talks about it. NOBODY.. We, as webmasters are doing nothing to fight them. We resigned loooooong ago.

Also, pay attention to new webmasters asking you for MEMBERS AREA ACCESS... Many of them are looking to RIP your MEMBERS AREA and distribute it to sharing file sites, to get PAID 10 bucks every 1000 downloads....

We can do things, to fight them, but we as webmasters are way behind those fuckers... We webmasters, are passive and naive... We must change and take action. (if someone cares about quoting my post, quote the whole message, not just part of a phrase to try to deffend illegal forums, ok?)

So far the webmaster has not responded to me but I have had a response from hotfile who have taken down all the files I reported. I have done a domain whois lookup and a tracert to the server and will use my findings to take the matter further.
MetaMan I would not normally provide a link to forums such as that in most cases, but as this is a Webmaster board I have taken the chance in the hope of getting more people on board to close this down. Free advertising to the lurchers may be the price I have to pay. So yes LickMyBalls I am doing something about it and posted this in the hope that others might also if they are affected!

On a side note it makes me laugh that the people of this board and other similar boards allow 'donations' which potentially allows them to profit illegally from other peoples hard work!

The donations aren't shit...They probably are making more money as an affiliate of Live Jasmin And of course a cam site doesn't care about your content. Cam sites aren't really even in the porn business.

So, several days on the webmaster has not responded to my DMCA notice.
I reported them to their Dutch service provider and also to VBuletin for breaching their terms and conditions of use. So far I have heard nothing back from anyone though :-(

To piss me off even further today I have discovered that another well known file sharing forum is making things much more difficult than before. Following a message to the webmaster I received the message back:

Why is it getting more difficult for producers to protect their copyrighted interests?

I have tried to star out all refence to the offending website so I can't be accused of giving 'free advertsing' to them!

There are tons of similar sites out there. I will not post links, but there are plenty of them, and most do not seem to give two shits about DMCA notices.

It is too bad this industry doesn't have an army of vigilantes, as current online copyright laws are obviously not enough of a deterrent. A few broken legs can go a long way to fixing this business...

I think that we'll either see massive changes in law to protect copyright better OR we'll see what your talking about start to happen.

People will only let their wallet be hit so much before they start to take their own action. This goes for adult as well as mainstream. To be honest, I'm surprised it hasn't already happened.

That explains why all of a sudden links to our stuff started to pop up recently way more often than before at this forum (our sites were also in the black list).

I believe you're 100% right that we're not doing enough to protect our rights. What pisses me off most of all is that our worst enemies are allowed into community to advertise here openly.

My proposal is to file a petition to the board owners to ban at least the worst offenders such as AFF/LiveJasmin/Brazzers and prohibit any kind of promo for them including links, banners, sigs, promo threads etc. If they're allowed to continue to be there, those who signed will leave this board permanently.

I think it's about time to ask GFY owners to choose sides.

I'm dead serious about signing such thing because I'm really sick of seeing AFF and LJ links at every single site that is sucking our blood stealing our hard work, and at the same time seeing them here posting promo threads looking for business etc.

Hire somebody to search your links for that board and kill the rapid/megauploads yourself. You dont even need a dmca. They will pull at first request.

Today I have sent out several more dmca notices to hotfile and megaupload after discovering more new content on a file sharing site.
I think I would resent paying to do a task like this as suggested. Its an easy enough task, but its also draining on my time. So if things continue the way they are then I may rethink this. If not just give up the whole god damn adult entertainment biz!!!
