    Gay Men Playing Straight?

    So there is all this uproar in the media over a article in Newsweek on Sean Hayes not able to play straight in his role in Promises Promises.

    Do you have trouble believing a gay man is straight in a movie? or can a good actor pull it off like a straight actor does when they play gay?

                  Like any actor I think it comes down to good actor or bad actor, plus I'm sure some guys are so flaming it's impossible to hide entirely.

                  I'm always shocked when Brits with strong accents can do convincing Americans a la House.

                          NPH is also a great straight man in Harold and Kumar.

                          Damn I love me some NPH. Never got the gay vibe from him either. His coming out was a complete shock to me.

                          I will not be surprised when Taylor Lautner comes out of the closet and he does a good job playing straight guys.

                                              or Christian Bale. In fact most of the main actors in Batman Begins are from the UK. The only one that has an accent is Michael Caine who of course plays a British butler.

                                              Rodck Hudson was gay and no one knew it until he had AIDS. And that was well after his heartthrob days were over. So yes gay guys can be straight.
