I think Brazil are trying to go for more of a team unit approach this time, and Ronaldinho whilst he has been on decent club form has not been spectacular and is a little of a luxury player. They are not of course short of talent so I doubt he will be missed, and it may also be a little kidology.....he could still make it there as an injury replacement.
Benzema on the other hand has not impressed at Madrid so I am not at all surprised by his omission. Give me Malouda, Anelka and Henry any dayComment

they cut ronaldinho to make a statement.. CHANGE i strongly disagree with the move as he still is a VERY effective player and his experience at winning is needed for such competitions.
Probably has more to do with the managers pride more than anything, if he wins he looks like a genius, if he loses he will blame it on the young team. Brazil will still be strong, they have so many great players to choose from. The ones you mentioned have had great careers but Ronaldinho has been really off for the national team going back to the last world cup, Ronaldo is 33 and not in great physical shape, Roberto Carlos is nearing 40 and Adriano has made more headlines for his partying than his playing lately. To me, everything for Brazil will go thru Kaka, if he is on, they will be dangerous.Comment
