That isn't a logical argument, because you are implying that the only reason he clicked the thread is because he cared about it. The reality of the situation is that there are many reasons to click a thread besides "caring" about it.
The logical fallacy you used is the "fallacy of the single cause", which is a logical fallacy of causation that occurs when it is assumed that there is one, simple cause of an outcome when in reality it may have been caused by a number of only jointly sufficient causes.

Ginger Lynn walked into a bar I was tending about 8 years ago.

I support what you said in the two above paragraphs.
Additionally, IMO, we porn performers are a cross-section of society; as such, some folks might end up like the thread-started opined while others might become thriving and contributing members of their communities, businesses, and geographical locations.
I certainly do not expect to "have nothing to live for" once I retire down-the-road; indeed, I am VERY happy and seemingly well-adjusted and productive.
