I'm lucky that my man is a detailer on the side, so he does my car and he does it to the 9's every other week

That would still be illegal here, it's about what you're doing with the water rather than how much of it you use. The exception is if you have a non mains water source such as a rainwater tank, but that's probably not the best thing to be washing your car with... LOLThere's a product called QEW (Quick and Easy Wash) that is basically a no-suds type car wash that you can wash your entire car with using only a gallon of water, two buckets and a spray bottle.
It was made to clean RV's in campsites that don't allow the run-off. You can pretty much wash your whole exterior in your garage with the door closed and not get any excess water anywhere.
I used it when I was freezing my ass off in Dallas in the winter because I had a black car.
(Thought: if it really does only need a gallon then some enterprising young lad could package this product together with a bottle of water...)Comment

I was in a hurry once and took my DD to a LaserWash (automated brushless wash) on my way out of town and will never do that again. Turns out convertibles and high pressure automated washes don't play well together (unless you were really hoping to take a shower during the wash).

Oh wow that blows then. I'm sure someone could package the whole thing together, and even with a spray bottle and a gallon of water it would only raise the actual price about $4 if you paid full price for the QEW.That would still be illegal here, it's about what you're doing with the water rather than how much of it you use. Yep, we wash both of ours. I like doing it myself, even if it takes a couple of hours to detail. I guess it's the satisfaction I get from it that keeps me doing it myself.Amateur ContentICQ: 292 356 077Comment

not a bad deal, do all dealerships do that? No. The dealership that I bought my '03 Toyoto Tacoma thru...provides a free car wash for as long as I own the truck and carry their logo on my license plate. BTW...they hand wash it. I have had it for seven years (the warranty expired last month) and I usually have it washed every couple of weeks.Custom Software Development, email: woj#at#wojfun#.#com to discuss details or skype: wojl2000 or gchat: wojfun or telegram: wojl2000

I wash my own car occassionally, for the most part I take it to a hand wash place. I know the owner of the place I normally take it and his guys do a very very good job on my car for less than $9. I can get it detailed fully for $40. It looks showroom new
