Just finished clearin' my driveway. Had a 4-foot drift alongside the wife's car. Mine was in the garage.
We got about a foot on the ground, with big drifts everywhere. Still whiteout conditions on the roads, though.Comment

I just finished making a shovel-width path around my car. Took me 45 minutes, and in the middle I tooka break, chugged some water, and ate an orange for a boost of energy.

That's my exact day so far in a nutshell. I got halfway to work before the boss called on the cell and told me to turn around and head home. My co-workers that made it in were just sittin' around in the CityHall lunchroom waitin' to head home again.
Roads were bad - major whiteouts on country roads between the cities. Plows have only just barely cleared the mainroads (and even those were filling in behind the plows).Comment

I finally finished my driveway and clearing my car at around 11pm last night. I worked on it all day long steadily, 6 times out to shovel in total. My piles along my drive are way over my head now, at least 7 ft, lol.
And..... 5 to 10 inches of lake effect snow before tonight is in the forecast.
