Do some homework on the security of whichever cart software you choose, most of them have been exploited at one point or another, find the one that updates the most often and takes its security seriously.

OSCommerce I don't think has been updated in a few years.

For a simple solution, we use OpenCart - http://www.opencart.com

Magento is awesome, but pretty much overkill unless you have a lot of product listings to add.

OScommerce is an overkill i think, i toyed with it few years back, don't think its a good option for small catalog, ~20-50 products tops

I've used with osCommerce and Cube Cart ... both work well.

I found Cube Cart easier to setup.

We have a simple cart that is linked right to the NETbilling gateway and it is free too as part of our service. We also work with many of the 3rd party carts out there and have a 24/7 call center too if you are interested.
