I liked it. Was it as good as the original? Of course not, but it was a fuck of a lot better than the last couple installments.
I got tired of the series becoming a fucking comedy series versus a balls kicking horror series. In the remake, Freddy becomes the badass kiddy fucker he was in the original. No gameshow host of death or other fucking bullshit. I'm sick of all these chick flick horror movies coming out and glad to see back to the basics down and dirty Elm Street badassery.
Jackie Earle Halley did a great job as Freddy The K and they didn't do what I was so worried about: a ton of Freddy backstory. I don't want a Freddy origination tale, fuck that. I want this nightmare stalking boogeyman that stays in the shadows and slashes the holy shit out of teens. I don't care why Freddy does what he does, I just want this evil dreamstalker hacking around and wondering "what the fuck is up with this guy?" I don't need a full psychological profile and 40 minutes of "explanation".Comment

I will only see Freddy if Robert Englund is the Freddy. Other wise its a waste of time, because i already knows what happens and the 1st one was really good already.
