Interesting problem. Seems there's quite a bit of information in google on dogs who eat soap, and why.
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&rl...&start=10&sa=N
The most common advice on how to get them to stop seems to be "Close the bathroom door"

My advice would be something like...
-- buy one of those "shower shelf" things and start putting the soap up higher and out of reach.
-- Give the dog something tastier to chew on, like one of those beef bones from the pet store. A dog could gnaw on one of the large ones for months.
-- MORE TRAINING. I hate to say it because most people think they do enough with their dogs in this department, but the fact is most don't. Dogs don't magically grow into good behavior, but rather they have to be trained OUT of their BAD behavior.
More sit/stay drills and obedience techniques done consistently and pretty much any dog will start to behave far better.Promote Wildmatch, ImLive, Sexier.com, and more!!

keep in mind that shit tastes different to dogs than to us.
to them, beer is sweet, like syrup.
so maybe soap tastes like pussy or something to your dog. (seewhatididthere?)
that being said, i still have never heard of a dog eating soap.no sigComment

He's over 9 years old and most likely one of the best trained dogs you will ever see. Everybody loves my dog and they all want to take him home. See the comment from Deej above.Last edited by AaronM; 04-30-2010, 01:25 PM.Comment

yeah our dog is over 10 y/o he listens and is very obedient. But every now and then he does something like this (if he can get away with it) she doesnt leave the soap on the side of tub often, but sometimes with new baby she rushes and well, accidents happen.
Dogs i dont think no matter how much training give a shit, when they see something they want, theyll take it and chew it up.
