    Favorite cover songs

    Right now I'm listening to Hallowed Be Thy Name by Cradle of Filth. I love this cover.

    A lot of people knock covers, I actually really enjoy them. I think it's a lot of fun watching a band/group take an older song that they grew up on and giving it their own spin.

      This is one of my current favorite cover tunes of Robert Tepper's "No Easy Way Out" from the Rocky 4 soundtrack.


      Also Northern Kings to a cover of Tina Turner's "We Don't Need Another Hero"


      I'm like you, I always love another band's take on a classic song.

              Covers are so tricky because it can be so easy to do the exact same song and sound like Karaoke.

              I think if you really look at the whole history of covers Hendrix nailed it with this
              It sounds nothing like Dylan's version but the lyrics are still an important element of the song.



              Or you can go the other way like The Dickies and just have fun
