Hey guys, i just wanted u all 2 know that i spoke w/ danielle over the phone for just over 2 hours yesterday. she's a great girl who is very professional and certainly motivated to make a splash with her own site. after speaking w/ her i think any program would be lucky to have her on board and will reap the rewards. i told her she definitely should shop various other programs around and weigh all her options carefully. so i congratulate in advance whatever program she ultimately chooses.

Hey Danielle (Ashlee), I've been aware of you marketing yourself via many of the mainstream cam networks for a while now. I know you've done well doing private cam shows, but are you currently working for an adult cam network now that your site is down? I think you could be successful with your own solo site, one that is much more professional and interactive than your last one.
Since you have a lot of experience with the webcam niche and you seem experienced in marketing yourself in that manner, I'd go for a site with that angle. Solo girls such as Amy (amysworld.com) self generated their traffic and popularity doing cam shows on such networks as camz.com and have parlayed that into a successful solo site. Is your boyfriend still actively involved in your affairs or is he the reason your site was yanked offline?
Don't jump at the first opportunity to get a site up if you are only going to end up with a small cut. Since you are a little different in that you can self generate some traffic, you may be wiser to hire a designer/programmer to build you a site and pay them some up front with a small cut on the backend and keep a large % of the revenue for yourself. If you can keep yourself accessible to your fans/members via daily/weekly camchat sessions, email, updated vids/pics I don't see why you couldn't make it as a successful solo girl."WTF, on google you can find the answer to every question in human history, EXCEPT how to convert cams..

Thanks for the advice lazy.. do you know of anyone that might be interested in doing something like that? That sounds like what I would probably be most comfortable with as I hate seeing large portions of my money going to places other than my pocket.
I do make a good bit with cam shows alone and if I could add to that with a solid members site I would be better off... I just don't know enough to get a site up again. And yeah i'm actually engaged now, there were a couple contributing factors to my old site being taken down, security was one of them. If you remember i got hacked like 2 times. Then some family issues as well. But I'm ready to go now and with the right partnership I know could make more than I am now.Comment

My thoughts are that you should get into a program that has solo girls already. Yes the market is saturated, but getting into an existing and established program will give you a base of affiliates to start off with right away.
If you're serious about staying active in the site, make sure you get a good deal out of it. You'll probably want to work something out that gives you a % of the site and ownership.Comment

I used to have a site that I had made myself but had to take it down due to personal reasons. But I'm back now and looking to go bigger in the solo scene. I realize with a new girl coming up every 5 minutes this is a hard market to get into but I would like to give it a try regardless...with your help of course.
I am looking for a site, a bigger better site than my old one. What I'm mainly looking for is profit sharing for the memberships. Currently I sell pics/vids and other items as well as do my cam shows that I normally make 5k/month off of. I think with the client base I have currently and a webmaster that knows how to promote a site we could make some money!

I think you have a good look, but I am not sure how much money you expect to make. Looks help a site, but a personality is what sells it. You are a cute girl, which would probably put you in the teen to girl next door range. Also being a webcam girl does not mean that your webcam fans will become members of your website. A lot of women with websites also do webcam shows on the side. I would save up and do the site yourself. You can hire someone to build it for you and then you will have to find a photographer. It depends what your overall goals are. If you're just looking to make a few bucks, get on the web, and not have much hassle in life, just shoot for another company. They'll pay you a fair wage for your time, you'll shoot a few times, and you won't have to worry about the crap that comes with running a paysite. On the other hand, you also won't make a whole lot of money.
Running your own site can make you a lot of money if you work hard and stay active with the site. It includes consistent updates, chats, and communication with members to keep them happy. You will deal with a lot of crap such as finding affiliates, finding traffic, and dealing with other administrative costs and duties.
My suggestion would be to figure out exactly what you want out of this. Some quick and easy cash, or a lot of work to potentially make a lot of money. Both have their pros and cons. I'd contact the Bruce_Miller guy from this thread who has said he'd offer a %. They will give you a good idea of what can be done and how much work is involved. They've been around the game for a long time and probably have more experience than 99% of this board in that field.Comment

Solo girl sites are a dime a dozen as you have observed, but they can do well, depending on some factors:
1) traffic - you need exposure.. if surfers can't find you, that can't be fans. do some networking like at the shows, on the boards, on icq... webmasters have various forms of traffic and you could make some deals with them.
2) content- need to keep updating content. a member who joins your site means he is focused on you. adding continual daiily/weekly content will keep them coming back and rebilling. features like myNaughtyMessages allows you to do like a voice diary, sharing your thoughts. The more you share with the fan, the more of a connection they have towards you.
3) interractions - answer emails, post up what you are doing, etc. fans are memberes to your site because they have a fascination with you.
steps #2 and #3 may seem like obvious answers, but this is where most will end up failing..
step #1 is both easy and hard to get. traffic is in abundance, but you also want the "right" traffic, ones that are looking to buy, instead of just freeload.
you might be able to interract with other solo girl sites.. talk to them about having them email their cancelled members about another solo girl site. it may sound like competition, but its now. if the cancelled member wanted to come back to the solo girl site, he could at any moment.
the solo girl has qualified members who have cancelled.. they should be promoting other solo girl sites as an affiliate and earn money from the cancelled members.

you need to make the decision do you want to be "talent" or a "businesswoman".
as "talent", other people can build the website and promote your pics/videos.. you just get a smaller piece of the profits... u smile for the camera and job done.
as a "businesswoman", you are in control... it takes money to make money as they say, but a small investment in website design and development can pay off more for you if you are inclined to do the work... ie seeking traffic deals, getting content updated regularly, etc.
