I brought up the idea of gathering a group of people together to all donate $20 a piece, for a undetermined total, to get him kicked into gear and get him working on it

all we need is like 5 people to make it worth while, and if we get more, than cool for him, he has a solid product that he offers for free, how about we give a little back?

The donated money would allow me to take some time off from that other work in order to concentrate on getting the new release out. With that time, I could get out a quick update for compatibility with WP 2.1 and to fix a stupid date bug that I've already fixed elsewhere as soon as Thursday or Friday
