Unless i've caught jibbering idiot disease after reading one of Billionaire's posts the P2P top 10 origins makes it look like the US is the worst by having the biggest line on the graph but is that going to be changed on a by population ratio? ie the US is getting beaten by Poland in a who's the biggest pirate competition if its 6648(out of 310million) v 1789(out of 38million).

Very good Point. But you have to look at it from a Producer and an Anti Piracy company's point of view.
For us it is not really important which country is the hub of piracy based on the population ratio. But it is important to find out which country has the most super seeders and leechers so we can take them down effectively, that is by taking their legal system and infrastructure into account. An other important issues is how much real damage the leecher is doing, the polish leecher is less likely to pay for content whereas, there is higher chance that the US based leecher would have paid for the content had it not been available via the internet.
But having said that I think you are making a very valid point and I have already asked one of the technical guys to add such graphs to the page.

Thanks for the clarification, I wasn't sure if it was an exact numbers thing or some ratio based calculation.

Gets more complicated the more I think about it. Although the larger number by pop in Poland may be attitude/legality based (no idea what the law is in Poland) I would have expected lower amounts of access to good internet speeds there too compared to the US.

The number of ISPs in Poland is far less than USA so 50% comply it means most of seeds are shut down whereas the number of ISPs in US is far more greater than East EU. Unfortunately most of the none complying ISPs are in US. Which makes the job much harder. That is why having an idea of where seeds are persistently thriving is important for us.
