                                                              I got Poker-Edge last week and I'm in absolute awe of this software. I've made more in cash games in the last week using this than the previous six months, I can't believe I didn't get this earlier. I'm getting my info from the software, but you can check any poker id on their site also http://www.poker-edge.net I'm somewhat reluctant to even tell anyone about this software as I really don't want anyone else using it. It does tons of things, but I love the table selector which automatically points you to the easiest table to sit at based on the players who are currently playing there. Anyone else using this?

                                                                              if you're just doing one off lookups pokertableratings is for cash, careful using poke-edge especially on pokerstars i stopped using it about 4 years ago when they emailed me saying i was in violation of their terms etc..its a not a bad program but if you are serious about playing more and improving your game invest in pokertracker or holdem manager you wont regret it

                                                                                      Yeah I know Pokerstars seems to be a lot stricter regarding 3rd party help software vs other sites, but how do they detect it? Holdem manager looks very similar to poker-edge, just have to pay for the extra apps that come included in poker-edge. Are you currently using holdem manager with Pokerstars?

                                                                                              Unless its changed pstars, party and FTP all state in their tos/eula not to use PE however only pstars and party can detect it, their program can detect the PE process running if you dont run PE first then open pstars. I haven't tried holdem manager i use PT and a free table selection program

                                                                                                  Looks are deceiving I guess. Guy kept over re-raising every time I raised his blind. I pushed in, happens he had a hand, then I flop a straight.

                                                                                                  With that said

                                                                                                  Rock - Rocks are characterized by tight and aggressive pre-flop play, but passive post-flop play. He won't be spewing too many chips around.

                                                                                                          Haha sorry I should apologize, those aren't my handles, I don't even have a handle. Those stats are actually my buddies. That's why I don't play online, it's literally impossible to beat regulars if you're just the average joe who deposits a few hundred bucks every now and then.

                                                                                                          The regulars, and I mean regulars who have a BB/100 of 2 or higher will 99.9% of the time take all of your money at some point. And from what I've seen just by everyones handle who posted in here, that stands true. He showed me pokertableratings.com where you can type anyone's name and see their history for the last 2 years, says its about 80% accurate.

                                                                                                          The moment someone decides to play for the first time, guys like my friend will recognize a new person, and there will literally be a waiting list of regs waiting to bounce on the new guy. He marks all fish he plays against with certain colors, purple ones are the fish. So when he sits down for a 2 hour session (how many hours he works in a day) he looks for all the tables with purple guys and tries to get a spot on their table. He plays 10 tables at once and sees about 700 hundred hands an hour playing 2/4 and 3/6 blinds.

                                                                                                          Oh btw, if you dont know what bb/100 means, it means big bets per 100 hands and a big bet is twice the big blind. For 3/6, big bet is 12 dollars. So if your stats show 3.0 for bb/100, thats 3 x 12(big bet) = $36 per 100 hands, He plays around 700 hands an hour, roughly making 36 X 7 = 252 dollars an hour. If you want to see some crazy stats, type in nananoko and see that guys equity curve. Unreal, but apparently though he plays 24 tables at once, for 8 hour periods. Used to be a pro gamer.

                                                                                                          Anyways, just some food for thought. Next time you go to play, just think there may be list of like 8 guys waiting to play against you and you not even know it. Vultures I tell you..

                                                                                                              pretty conservative .
                                                                                                              I play 90% live and when I am really bored i play online which is rare .
                                                                                                              That is why i know the stats are totally off .

I only flat call... flop comes down J 8 6 rainbow... he checks, I bet 15k he shoves all in I snap call... he has A 8... misses the turn and a frekkin 8 on the river for trip 8's !

Mostly been comparing what several have told me are the two best, www.holdemmanager.com and www.poker-edge.net . They seem to offer almost identical features, only difference I can tell is that with PE you get all of the apps that you have to pay extra for in Holdem Manager.
