Windows CE or BlackBerry

I have a pretty decent but getting older PDA type phone. Three or four years old.

I'm leaning toward getting a Blackjack but....

I don't know if I should go Blackberry or Windows CE.

Soooo, let's have a vote and please don't vote according to your stock holdings. LOL

What should I buy, Window CE or BlackBerry and WHY. Thanks.

blackberry all the way. i love their bb os.

i had a windows mobile phone before and it sucked my left nut. i would imagine all mobiles windows is the same.

no complaints about my bb though.

Depends on what you want it for. I like having a touch screen for websurfing. I realize the Blackjack doesn't have a touch screen, but the Pocket PC phones do. That being said, I prefer the Palm devices over Windows Mobile. Not that either is good or bad, they just feel different.. like the difference betwen an anus and a vagina.

Blackberry all the way for email.

I have a WindowsCE phone, and it's alright. Kinda quirky. I've never tried a Blackberry, so I can't recommend them. Heard other give them good reviews though.

This was helpful. Damn I want email and surfing. LOL

More than anything though I need a good calender. Dates seem to be dropping out of my phone. That Blackberry monthly fee also sucks.

Cingular charges $39.99 per month on a Blackjack or 8525 for unlimited internet. Assuming you're not connecting to a Blackberry Enterprise Server, you can do the personal version for $29.99.

I think the calender is pretty much the same on all of them. For me, I'd rather do email on a blackberry and surfing on a Palm Treo. I don't do a ton of email, so I stick with the Treo. The Blackjack is ok.. just not my cup of tea. Not to throw another option out there.. but the Nokia E62 has a pretty cool web browser.

YARGH! I don't have experience with Blackberry but I just got me a Motorola Q with windows mobile 5.0 on it and I love this fuckin' thing. It's better than me refried clam gizzard stew.

PS I was thinkin' of the gettin' the Black Jack but I only use sprint so I went with the Q.

Blackberry has to have a client running on your PC (while logged in) to get email or you have to subscribe to a service. Not many programs to load on a Blackberry either.

Windows Mobile 5 has gobs of programs. The Treo 700wx is the best right now mainly due to battery life. Get Verizon or Sprint. Both have EVDO and you get 400-700k internet connection speed. The 6700 from either company has horrible battery life but I still prefer it to the Treo due to screen size. If you have an Exchange server or subscribe to a service on one, it will do direct push of your email to the phone in real-time, not every 5-10 minutes. You would then also get Outlook Web Access.
